Richard has photographed the Fulton Building at the University of Sussex for ADP Architects. The new building stands alongside Basil Spence iconic post war architecture.
AOP Open Judges Choice Award.

Richard has won a Judges Choice award at this years AOP Open awards. The Judge was Daniel Campbell Blight, director of the HotShoe Gallery in London. The winning image was the one below 'Ashdown Brickworks...' from the series 'Textures of Time.'

Foto8 Summershow at Host Gallery London.

Two photographs from the project Textures of Time have been chosen for the Foto8 Summershow at the Host Gallery. "The selection of prints exhibited in this year's Summershow demonstrates Foto8's committment to exhibiting a wide range of photographic styles and genres. Over 2500 individual images were received from photographers representing the six continents. From landscape to portraiture to documentary and fashion and everything in between, the Summershow celebrates the photographic talent of established names and emerging photographers alike. The Summershow will run throughout August and will be launched on Friday 23rd of July with its customary street party.

One of Richard's photographs from the project Textures of Time has been selected for the AOP Open exhibition. The 2010 exhibition will run at the AOP Gallery in Shoreditch from 17th to 26th August and the gala awards night will take place on Thursday August 19th.

Work from Textures of Time will be shown in an exhibition called Landscape 1 at Lucy Bell Fine Art. The exhibition also features Zander Olsen and Marc Wilson. Lucy Bell who founded and directed The Independent Photographers Gallery in Battle, has set up a new Gallery in St Leonards Sussex.

Exhibition 'Territory' at Otter Gallery.

Work from Greenham Common has been chosen for the Photography Open 2009 at the Otter Gallery in Chichester. "This first photographic open at the Otter Gallery will showcase over 20 talented contemporary photographers who have all explored the idea of territory from unique and creative standpoints." The exhibition will run from the 30th September - 11th November. The Otter Gallery, Bishop Otter Campus, University of Chichester.

Richard has been selected as one of the winners of the Magenta Flash forward 2009 competition. Some of his photographs from the project Textures of Time will be published in the Magenta Flash Forward 2009 book later in the year. There will also be a touring exhibition taking part in Canada, the US and UK later in the year. Murray Ballard who exhibited with Richard in the Human Endeavour exhibition was also selected as a winner.

Exhibition 'Human Endeavour'.

'Textures of time: landscape architecture' will be shown as part of an exhibition in the Brighton Photo Fringe at the Bellis gallery. 8-9 Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 1NE. The show brings together four emerging photographers under the banner of Human Endeavour. From 03rd of Oct. to the 30th of November 2008. The exhibition has been funded by the Arts Council England and is a collaboration with Murray Ballard, Alex Currie and Simon Carruthers. Curated around a central theme 'Human Endeavour' aims to tackle important issues of the day concerning human intervention and activity in the 21st century.
