ABOUT

Richard Chivers is a professional Architecture, Interiors and Documentary photographer, located in Brighton and London. Born in Basingstoke in 1974, he received a first class BA honours degree in photography at the University of Brighton in June 2006.

Richard has been shooting Architecture for various Architects, Design Agencies, construction companies and PR Agencies, his clients include, Feildon Clegg Bradley Studios, KSS Architects, ADP Architects, John McAslan and Partners, Rick Mather Architects, Nick Evans Architects, Michael Cook Associates, RIBA, DPA Lighting, C-Architecture, Ocon Construction, GardnerQuainton Design, Pink Llama Design, Colliers International, SMYE Holland Associates, The Architects Journal, Wallpaper Magazine, Braun Publishing, Durkan Estates, City and Country and the Westcombe Group. Richard is also working for the Photographers Gallery on the Colliers Green Focus project, teaching Key stage 3 children to explore their environment through photography. Richard is also a member of the South Coast Design Forum. His Architectural work is represented by View Pictures.

Richard's personal work is based around creating documentary projects that look at the shaping and re-shaping of the British landscape. He has received several Arts Council awards to make, curate and exhibit his work, exhibiting in Brighton, London and across the UK. He is also a member of the photography collective Human Endeavour who recently exhibited their on-going project Degeneration at the Brighton Photo Fringe and the Format International Photography Festival in Derby. The work has also been recently published in the British Journal of Photography.
